EVER WONDER ABOUT LIFE IN A MONASTERY?
Monks have been credited with innovations that have shaped everything from the study of genetics all the way to aviation principles. When you think of a monk you normally think of a person wearing a large robe seeking a form of lifelong spiritual enlightenment.
A monastery, as I imagine it, is a place of silence and introspection. I assume the monastery is a sort of fraternity that's dedicated to a singular noble purpose. I get the feeling though that human nature really surfaces. I mean all that silence, introspection, and thought must lead to curiosity. There have to be some questions surfacing at times.
I think life in a monastery really adds to the creative nature of a person. No type of vice, enlightenment, a clear head, it all really leads to creativity that goes beyond simple questioning and deep into examining the laws established by science, the very science that often challenges religion and dismisses spirituality. Yes, life in a monastery must be some kind of something.

I'M YOUR DADDY LUKE
I love Star Wars and I always have, in part I love it because there was nothing like it and to this day there is nothing like it. I always wondered if there was a way to create a real lightsaber because I was really down with the idea of having my own lightsaber. I would not use my lightsaber on anything other than plastic bottles and Somali pirate ships.
Apparently I may have my big chance because it seems like scientists may be close to creating my dream device. The following link will take you to an article about the near creation of the lightsaber:
http://www.i4u.com/2013/09/56020/real-lightsaber-created
What I think is amazing about this development, besides the fact that I may now battle Somali pirates, is the fact that it's only been 35 years since this was first conceptualized. I'm almost certain that this type of development will meet with serious political and religious opposition. On the flip side of the equation I am certain that science advocates will welcome this with open arms, just because it means that we can eventually master anything we can think of.
Read the article, make your conclusions and may the force be with you.

SO, IS IT FULL CIRCLE?
When you write for a living and you do it as a hobby you sometimes get that feeling like you are about to hit a wall. When that feeling comes I think of it as coming full circle. I have done 360 entries and I have an infinite number left and yet 360 is that first full circle. I like to write about current events, entertainment, anything that trends. I like to put a certain twist on everything, simply my opinion. At times I like to get deep and tell stories. I guess I have come to a full circle. Perhaps I will begin to write about things that make no sense.
On seconde thought, fuck it I'll just do whatever the hell I please and see how that works out.

WHY AM I STILL UP?
It's late and I am still up writing, I really have to question my sanity. I have a meeting in the morning and need to be sharp but I am so interested in other things at the moment. I wonder if night brings about hubris and makes people feel invincible. I am tired, I am thirsty, I know what my day will bring tomorrow but I just don't feel like letting that get to me. I am thinking of so many things and so many things I am thinking of make such little sense, even to me.
An hour ago I was thinking of what it must have been like to be David Sarnoff back when he was delivering flowers to the may mistresses of Marconi out in New York. Then I think back to previous hours and how thrilled I was with the latest installment of the HBO drama Newsroom and how cool it is that Jeff Daniels will likely have an iconic role to define his outstanding career. Here I am, it's late as fuck and I am still writing, and yet I don't know why.
This blog is such a medium for expression, often times I express raw emotion without any real attention to accuracy and I wonder how many mistakes I have made in the process of creating volume. I don't give a shit about what people think of my mistakes because this is my forum and yet I want reactions, I want to push buttons and get people talking. Yes I know what I'm saying because I read and read carefully but often times I write recklessly because I am fully invested. I look forward to numbers, ideas, reactions and I love when I have the opportunity to prove assholes wrong.
I am not really into political correctness, in fact I challenge that ridiculous and hypocritical norm which we enforce because honestly it's nothing more than fear, a blanket for the cowardly. It's late and I am opening up to perfect strangers because I am secure in my own feelings and opinions, I will agree, disagree, and stand up when it's necessary. I will attack people not for the sake of the attack but simply because I live in reality. It's late, I'm tired and open, and I will say whatever the hell I want to say.

I LOVE PSEUDO INTELLECTUALS
To me reading is a joy, because it often times allows me the luxury of learning things I was not previously aware of. I like to learn from people whom I feel have something to teach me, and I think almost everyone has something of a lesson they can teach others. I want to emphasize almost, because there is always a group of people that have nothing but shit to impart. I am sure you are likely wondering what I am talking about, and I shall now expound.
There are often times people who think that their opinion is the only one that counts. I am talking of course about people that love to talk about the lack of reality in reality, the true ills of ambition, the prostitution of society by technology, the ills of modern medicine, and the necessity to bathe naked in the cleansing waters of a dirty, amoeba filled lake. If you don't get the sarcasm then you are one of them, a pseudo intellectual.
I find it easy to spot pseudo intellectuals, they look at you in a manner that spells their indifferent superiority and superior lack of real confidence. A pseudo intellectual will likely mix Nietzche with Sheldon Cooper and talk about atheism being a manner of scientific belief on the gods of science. Yes I love the pseudo intellectuals because they entertain me. A pseudo intellectual will find over 100 explanations to one lie, and over 100 answers to a yes or no question. A pseudo intellectual is a lot like stepping on dog shit, you know you hate it but somehow it makes you laugh.
A lot of times pseudo intellectuals come about as the result of youth without experience or praise without real merit. College, books, retention without understanding, and bullshit, will never give you practical intellect or common sense. True gifts do not come from unproven ideas, and nonsense, and certainly have no relation to veganism and under arm hair. I am not saying that vegans are pseudo intellectuals but I am stating that a lot of pseudo intellectuals are vegans. Perhaps I am tired of every hippy wannabe assuming that they know life when truly the know very little about a whole lot.
The world needs clowns and fools and who better to entertain us than the pseudo intellectuals who, like clowns, are truly just sad individuals crying soulful, interior tears stemming from fear.

POLITICAL CORRECTNESS IS BULLSHIT
I am writing what it is everyone is thinking. Political correctness is total bullshit no matter how you cut it. I think that the idea has become so big in society today that we have lost sight of the difference between being correct in expression and being ridiculous. It's one thing to be a racist, color your statements about things with ignorant remarks, and another to actually express your feelings without the feeling of boundaries cornering you. Today the PC bullshit has taken a turn for the insane in ways that are both amusing and annoying.
You can't refer to someone as a midget, or refer to a tall person in a way that may make fun of their height. The word ho is automatically associated with calling a female a prostitute. You can't say black out loud for fear that the mere mention of color may make someone mad. No one in this world is perfect and if you are not intentionally trying to offend a person I think society needs to have some fucking leniency. I don't understand why a person should be allowed to press assault charges if I tell them to go fuck themselves. Do you know that Ho is actually an acronym with several different meanings?
I am not saying that it's okay to insult people but I will say that if someone pushes the wrong buttons they deserve to be told exactly they can do regardless of race, creed, color or gender. I don't care if a catholic priest decides he wants to judge me because I can proceed to ask said priest why there are so many pedophiles at the helm of the church. I know you are wondering where this is coming from when I just wrote about the universal force of love.
I am honest enough and have enough common sense to distinguish between reality and serious bullshit. I am not saying for people to go out and act like total assholes I am just saying that common sense in expression is not something that should be hindered by the thought of overly sensitive people taking offense to every little statement made.

THE KNOW IT ALL
Ever find yourself dealing with a know it all? I find myself dealing with know it alls quite often and it never ceases to amaze me how people that know it all seem to have that shield against reality. I have multiple examples of know it all individuals and all of them have a deeply entertaining specialty that stands out in terms of their knowledge.
My first know it all is the know it all that cites statistics which have no real merit behind them. I love hearing how 37% of the time people that count to five will count to four twice because four plus four is equal to eight. I love it when statistics that make no sense whatsoever are applied to politics. A person who knows it all will say something like " 40% of the time a voter will vote for a better candidate because 20% of the time said voter will be unhappy with their previous choice." The statistics know it all usually has either a lisp or a horrible personality or both. A person citing statistics with no sense to them and putting them down as the law and rule of thumb is also usually incapable of achieving any sort of erection or sexual satisfaction. I understand that this happens at least 27% percent of the time all the time. As we move on through the journey we make our way to the know it all that specializes in history.
I have heard that Vietnam was an attempt by the US to hide aliens in the city of Da nang. I have heard that the moon landing was shot in a studio and I have heard compelling arguments made for Elvis Presley's current status as a secret CIA agent trying to rid the world of scum. I sit and listen to these theories because when a person states their case there is usually some sort of ridiculous and unproven fact that makes it impossible to walk away. The know it alls that try to talk about history will also say that it is "matter of fact" that while Eisenhower was in a toilet he contemplated a surprise attack on Canada in an attempt to corner the faux bacon market. Of course you cannot leave out the know it al that covers life in general.
The know it all that loves to act like he or she has a handle on zen philosophy is life's all purpose know it all. That know it all philosopher loves to throw out words like agnostic, pagan, vegan, syphilitic, atheist and so forth. What I love about this know it all is that they always have an answer to everything. You can ask this know it all about every subject from botox to douche bags and this person will always have an answer. The general know it all has a response to everything and is a self actualized human being. This person knows more than doctors, lawyers, plumbers, and architects. You can never get into a conversation with this person because you must listen to their wise words. I will now state my feelings with regards to know it all as a way to wrap up my little diatribe.
If you know it all you suffer from the following conditions:
- Shit personality
- Inferiority complex
- Stupidity
- Lack of social skills
- Lack of interpersonal skills
- Fishy taco
- Erectile disfunction
- Inability to spell
- Inability to understand things when they are explained ad nauseam
- Bitterness
- Jealousy

I DID NOT KNOW GOD WAS LOST
I am a person that prides himself in respecting the beliefs of others. I have written about religion before not to get attention but to offer perspective. I believe that what people chose in order to fill a void or for that matter re-start their lives is personal and if it has a positive effect it's also admirable. I do dislike it when those very same people sit from a sanctimonious position in judgement of others.
I love people that state that they "found" God or for that matter "discovered" Jesus. Those kind of statements really make little to no sense at all. I am pretty sure that God was never lost and that a lot of people are keenly aware of the existence of Jesus. Finding or discovering a new way to worship and in turn provide others with that "knowledge" is respectable until it crosses the line from friendly banter to judgmental bullshit.
I will always be respectful of others and what they believe because it's who I am. I will always hold my own believes close to the vest and privately because I consider that my right. In the end I will applaud those that try to make a difference but I will always challenge those who allow ignorance to permeate the fabric of personal space.

IF IT'S A NATURAL PROCESS WHY FEAR IT?
When you are confronted with your own mortality fear and that uncertainty of what's next really start to set in. Often times people either become reckless beyond human levels or they simply retreat into some sort of shell where everything is far too dangerous to attempt. The bottom line is that when death makes any sort of appearance for tea life becomes a whole new ball game.
I am fascinated by the duality in the reactions of people to death. Some people seem to embrace it and others fear it so that they never seem prepared. I guess that when life ends none of us are ready to understand that or deal with it unless we have seen a full century of time. The fact is that death is an impossible to explain part of life for just about everyone.
I wonder if people ever really think about the scientific explanation which to me sounds basic and extremely simple. When it's your time in life it's your time, its a natural process in most cases. If you think about it even when it's a situation where it was not expected there is something to be said for environmental cause. If you are in the wrong place at the wrong time among other reasons.
I am personally not a death monger interested in when or where my time may come. I don't question mortality daily and I certainly do not look for ways in which to learn about the intricacies of mortality. The bottom life is that life is life and death is the last part of it and that is something we should not fight or fear.

ON THE SEVENTH DAY HE SAID BAZINGA!
Okay so there is a lot to be said for the intricate points regarding religion. Die hard true believers live and die by the statements that they read in the bible. I was taught while attending a private catholic grade school that the bible was written over a period of close to two thousand years. Then there are the revised editions of the bible. Of course there are the people that ride around the bicycles with the helmets and ties and they do the green thing along with all that religious love.
There is the scientific approach to creation which refers to the Big Bang Theory as opposed to the whole seven days thing. So it all boils down to what you chose to believe if it's science or the presence of one all powerful figure that can seemingly do everything in order to create or destroy life. Then of course there is the whole calendar thing that has the world ending in a month or so.
Science makes a strong point especially if you look up the Miller- Urey Experiment conducted in 1952. If you look at things objectively then there are unexplained events that lean to the possibility of an all powerful entity. Within that level of objectivity you have to also wonder what it's like when factoring for other religions. It's all funny really especially when while looking up the Big Bang Theory there is more on the TV show than there is on the actual scientific theory.
Let us all look at it this way: On the seventh day he said BAZINGA and the world and the universe around it was created.
