EVER WONDER ABOUT LIFE IN A MONASTERY?
Monks have been credited with innovations that have shaped everything from the study of genetics all the way to aviation principles. When you think of a monk you normally think of a person wearing a large robe seeking a form of lifelong spiritual enlightenment.
A monastery, as I imagine it, is a place of silence and introspection. I assume the monastery is a sort of fraternity that's dedicated to a singular noble purpose. I get the feeling though that human nature really surfaces. I mean all that silence, introspection, and thought must lead to curiosity. There have to be some questions surfacing at times.
I think life in a monastery really adds to the creative nature of a person. No type of vice, enlightenment, a clear head, it all really leads to creativity that goes beyond simple questioning and deep into examining the laws established by science, the very science that often challenges religion and dismisses spirituality. Yes, life in a monastery must be some kind of something.

KARMA, I GUESS
I am not an authority on spirituality, in fact I am far from a knowledgeable source on the topic. I do like karma a lot as far as spirituality is concerned. My reason for liking it is as simple as the definition of karma itself. Karma is that universal law that pretty much returns whatever you have given out, good or bad. To me karma is like a very real force that keeps you from being a total asshole. If you fuck up, or fuck someone up, karma takes care of it. I like the simplicity of knowing that I don't have to lift a finger for someone to pay for their shit behavior. I don't expect karma, I don't see it, it just happens on its own sooner or later. The whole point here is that you need to remember nothing in life is absolute, life is a cyclical proposition. Karma is life's spin cycle and if you mess up it will rock your ass in ways you never thought possible if you decide to act as a downdraft to others.

THE PAPAL ELECTIONS
The two front runners for the vacant papacy are Archbishop Scola and Archbishop Odilo Scherer. When the white smoke goes up it will mean that one of these two men will have won the popularity contest that will determine who shall emerge as the next great leader of the Catholic Church. It's clear that both these men are in far better shape than Benedict was and that they are likely going to make a papal calendar otherwise known as The Papal Pimp: 12 months. I wonder if the papal candidates have ever thought of having some sort of campaign. Vatican City is not so big that they can't do something to sway the vote their way.
I think it would be fantastic to see them make speeches about miracles, kissing babies, and putting signs up on lawns. Can you imagine the slogans? I can imagine Scola's big sign for the die hard Scholastic:
Scola will in fact be the cure for the Cura as he does believe in serious sweeping reform. There is also Scherer who is from the sexy Sao Paulo which is full of beautiful women and Samba. I can Imagine what his sign will look like:
Scherer will samba for your soul and into your soul as he will follow a lot of the steps of Pope John Paul II. I can imagine the intrigue, hidden agendas, special papal interests, weir and secretive priestly politics. I think it would be awesome to cover a papal election. I wonder how they go about it now? I know about the black smoke and white smoke thing but I wonder if they have lunch breaks, watch sexy movies on Cinemax and talk about sports.
Perhaps I am starting to develop a jaded nature as far as the catholic church. I don't think I can be blamed for not taking the church or it's leaders seriously when the very political, hypocritical, and self righteous human natures of these all too powerful figures have polluted the idea of a spiritual relation that serves as a purifying agent for the soul.

KARMA BITCH, KARMA
I rarely like to venture guesses at situations but the fact is that I hate Casey Anthony with a great deal of passion. I don't like to attack and malign or vilify people but the truth is that Casey Anthony is a bitch who either had something to do with her daughter's death or knew what happened at the very least. The fact of the matter is that Casey Anthony had no real remorse and was fortunate that the case against her was not built correctly. I think it's only fitting that she have to file for bankruptcy citing $792,00 in liabilities and only about $1,100 in assets. Casey Anthony only cared about her own freedom and never really showed any interest in the well being of her daughter.
I learned early on that life catches up with you when you least expect it. What happened with Casey Anthony was a miscarriage of justice and she deserves every thing she gets. A child died and no one bothered to talk about that and what it really meant. Casey became a celebrity and Baez became the next big attorney. I hate everything about Casey Anthony and I hate the fact that she has undeserved freedom. This is me speaking from the heart and perhaps surrendering objectivity but fuck it a child is dead and the bitch mother is free.
I hope Karma continues to hunt Casey Anthony because in the end she really needs to learn to hate her miserable existence.

DEATH, MY OLD FRIEND, HOW ARE YOU?
Death is the event we are born for in this life. There is no way to tell when or how it's coming we just know that it is. To many death is a form with a scythe and little in the way of friendly conversation. Ultimately death has a job but do you ever wonder what it would say to you or you would say to it ? I think I have my Antonius Block conversation all figured out.
DEATH: I have come to claim your soul
ME: Want to play Dominoes?
DEATH: No time.
ME: Eternity is a long time don't you think?
DEATH: What do you want to talk about?
ME: How do you chose people's time?
DEATH: It's a lot like the subway, every train has a turn.
ME: If I win a Domino game can I live longer?
DEATH: No.
ME: Was I a bad person?
DEATH: Not my call.
ME: Was I a good person?
DEATH: I don't know, were you?
ME: Good answer.
DEATH: I don't have a conscious nature.
ME: Want a tea?
DEATH: Goes through me quick.
ME: Shall we?
DEATH: Please I am pressed for eternity.
I know this is all freaky but in truth it's life or as some may refer to it the hamster wheel full of shit that we must all run inside of for a set period of time.
